About an hour north of Plymouth is the Mount Washington Hotel. On a clear day you can see the top of Mount Washington from the hotel. My friends and I have gone several times to just look at the views and check out the grounds. There is also a nice bar inside that you can go in and get a drink at. I’m not a big golfer, but there is also a golf course on the hotel grounds.
Just up the road from the hotel there is a gas station and a bridge next to a big train that advertises the cog railway. If you go up the road past the train there is a lot of little swimming holes and fishing spots in a river that runs off of the mountain. There is also ledges and drops that you can jump off of into the river there. I wish that I took pictures when I was there, but I left all my electronics in the car. I would definitely recommend checking out the hotel and the nature around it. There is a lot to do in that area, and a lot of beautiful scenery to take in.
